maybe these remarks are already in the roadmap or maybe I misse something in the extension.
The user IP is not insert in the table (if the web sites in behind a CDN we should track the header HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR )
For specific websites and legal reason, the comment can't be delete we must keep informations about the comment. The status columns should be use to display or not the comment in the front office.
For moderation,
For specific websites (for kids), we must moderate the comment before is publication. (the status column can be use for this.)
It will be useful to be able to search a specific comments (by title/user name/status etc).

Sorry for the delay reply. Thanks for the feedback.
For the ip issue, it's a bug. It will be fixed.
The status is intended to meet requirement for hiding or moderating. These features have not been implemented in this release, also for searching comment.
The moderation and search feature have been put into roadmap. The delete feature(not delete it completely) is an interesting feature. We will discuss it to put it into roadmap.
But if the delete feature is really important, I think basically it is possible for developer to easily develop that feature based on ezcomment, for short solution.

For the delete feature, yes it's really important. In france, we need to keep track of UGC for legal reason.
Of course we can implement it but it's better when everything is integrate in the package. ;-)
