Thursday 08 March 2007 12:44:09 pm Hi Xavier
here what I would expect of a xmlshorten operator: - don't count any tags in the length of the string - generally strip html tags but allow a list of tags to keep - option to remove/autoclose unclosed tags - allow option for 'fuzzy' shortening - meaning shortening on the next/previous space so words are not cut off. Maybe some integer parameter which is set to 0 for precise shortening and any larger number indicates the range of fuzziness? That's it - for now at least ;-) Claudia |

Saturday 10 March 2007 2:27:39 am Hi Claudia,
Saw your post right now only. I'll check with K if ez still hasn't installed the mail function or if I'm just dumb and didn't see how to get notifications. As for the suggestions, I'd like to add one: - define the length in line unit (that's what the clients ask). I don't have the slightest idea to do that (to make it funnier, I'm into liquid templates). As for you suggestions, some have been taken (I deal with tags as you expect). I like some others (eg don't take into account the tags in the length. This one is trickier... do you want a svn write access ? ;) X+ |

Monday 26 March 2007 7:39:36 am I will try to integrate teaser.php into the main code of xmlwash - either tonight or in the next few days. I was waiting for such an operator anyway.

Monday 26 March 2007 3:23:46 pm Hi Peter,
That's fantastic news ! Could you request to join the team on this project so I can grant you write access on the svn ? That's going to be easier to work that way. X+ |
