I think it is really a great idea, and not a "pfui" functionnality, it makes easy the ability to extend the templates languages with custom functions without the need to install a whole extension environnement. I use it very often ....

Try the wrap_operator and use all php operators
and user defined functions quickly, simply, effectively
and most importantly ... hassle free!

I downloaded latest for svn and for some bizarre reason it did not work, says operators are not registered. Took older one from other project and its ok. In terrible rush right now, cant check the diff.
