eZ Search Engine++

Please note that this extension in no way tries to or even have a slight chance to compete with ezfind, ezfind will give you a far more advance search engine on your site. This is for those that can not install ezfind for some reason, or for simple sites that don't need it but would like slightly more relevant search results.

Ranking is done while indexing content, so you need to re index you site to take advantage of it. You can specify boost values in search.ini for attribute id/identifier, attributes that are used in object name pattern and specific datatypes ( for instance ezkeyword ).
You can also set boost factor for multiple occurrences of a word.

Suggestions for improvements / features are welcome, "OR" support is one such thing.

If you use template search (using fetch('content', 'search')) you'll need to update sort_by parameter to take advantage of relevance sorting as described here:
