French translation / small issues / possible improvements

Hi,

I've just registered to be member of the birthday extension dev team.

I wrote the translation file for fre-FR locale, the patch is available here http://pwet.fr/content/download/7.../file/fre_translation_birthday.patch

I wrote a small patch to fix some small issue
- BOM at the begin of a PHP file (see [1])
- fixed some minor coding standards issues (tabs, missing spaces, ...)
- replace a call to ereg by preg_match to be PHP 5.3 compliant

In addition it would be nice to make this extension compatible with 4.1 and 4.2 by removing references to eZDomDocument as mentioned in [2].
