What is the updatesearchindex extension?

updatesearchindex is an eZ publish patch extension
that provides a anternate replacement for the stock
eZ publish search index update shell scripts.

Requirements

The following requirements exists for using updatesearchindex extension:

o eZ publish version:

Make sure you use eZ publish version 3.4 or higher. Recommened 3.9.2. Tested with 3.7.5, 3.8.6 and 3.9.2

o PHP version:

Make sure you have PHP 4.4.2 or higher. Recommended 4.4.6. Tested with 4.4.2

o You must have access via ssh shell to your eZ publish installation.

Installation

Details on installing updatesearchindex located in the file doc/INSTALL.

Usage

1. Install the patched files into your eZ publish installation
2. Review the available documentation on how to run the command:
   doc/INSTALL and doc/example.cron
3. Run the command via ssh shell, cron or scheduled tasks
